Explore the city by signing up for walking tours. See beautiful architecture such as the Painted ladies. Ride your bike across the Golden Gate bridge, Pier 39, Fisherman’s Warf and end your ride at Ghirardelli’s Square and treat yourself to a Ghirardelli’s chocolate sundae. After a nice afternoon of biking, you can stop by Union Square and go on a shopping spree if you please. If you are looking to check out some amazing museums, check out The Exploratorium and the California Academy of Sciences. Just across the Golden Gate Bridge, is the beautiful quaint town of Sausalito. It has a small-town feel and is only 30 minutes away from San Francisco. While you are out there, enjoy kayaking, rowing and sailing. Walk the streets and have fun explore their little boutiques.

Napa Valley

If you are a wine lover, you will absolutely love Napa Valley. It is approximately 1.25 hours away from San Francisco. There are hundreds of wineries with beautiful vineyards. Grab your picnic basket and some friends and enjoy a full day wine tasting.

Big Sur

If you are looking to escape the city life completely, rent a car and drive down highway 1 along the Coast of California. Big Sur’s beautiful views will take your breath away. You can hike along the cliff sides of the coast with the ocean right by your side. A day in sunshine and nature may just be what your body needs to relax and recharge.

San Francisco is a prime location to live in with so much culture and diversity. It is also a great location with many cool places to explore beyond its city limits.
